These Terms & Conditions govern every trek, tour and event booked with With Sakhi (“With Sakhi”, “we”, “us”) through withsakhi.com, WhatsApp, phone or in person. By booking a seat for yourself or on behalf of others, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms.
1. Bookings and confirmation
- A booking is confirmed only after we receive the advance payment and send you a written confirmation on WhatsApp or email. A filled enquiry form or a seat held verbally is not a confirmed booking.
- You must provide accurate details for every participant — full name, age, mobile number and an emergency contact. Incorrect details can lead to a seat being cancelled without refund.
- Seats are limited and allotted on a first-paid, first-confirmed basis.
- When you book for a group, you are responsible for passing these terms on to every member of that group.
2. Payments
- All prices on this website are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are per person unless stated otherwise on the trek page.
- Advance payment is compulsory to confirm a seat. The balance must be cleared before departure, as communicated for that trek.
- Pickup-specific pricing (for example Pune and Mumbai boarding points) is shown on each trek page. Selecting a different boarding point may change the amount payable.
- Any bank, UPI or payment-gateway charges are borne by the participant.
3. Cancellation, refunds and transfers
- Cancelled 72 hours or more before departure: a partial refund is provided. The non-refundable portion covers advance bookings we have already made on your behalf — transport, permits, meals and stay.
- Cancelled within 72 hours of departure: no refund is possible. You may transfer your seat to a friend or family member at no extra cost, provided you inform us in writing before departure with the replacement participant’s details.
- No-shows at the pickup point, late arrivals that miss the departure, or leaving a trek midway are treated as cancellations within 72 hours and are not refundable.
- Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method, usually within 7–10 working days.
- If we cancel a trek — for insufficient participants, weather, forest department restrictions, administrative orders or any other reason — you may choose a full refund of the amount paid to us, or a credit towards another trek of your choice.
4. Changes to the itinerary
Published itineraries and timings are indicative. Mountain weather, trail conditions, traffic, vehicle breakdowns, group pace, local restrictions and participant safety can all require changes on the day. The trek leader may shorten, reroute, reschedule or cancel any part of a trek, and that decision is final. Additional costs arising from such changes are borne by the participant.
5. Participant responsibilities
- Trekking in the Sahyadris involves walking on uneven, rocky and often wet terrain, with exposure and elevation gain. You confirm that you are medically and physically fit for the trek you have booked, and that its stated grade and duration are suitable for you.
- You must disclose any medical condition, allergy, injury, ongoing medication or pregnancy at the time of booking. We keep this information confidential and use it only for your safety.
- Instructions from the trek leader must be followed at all times. We may remove any participant — without refund — for behaviour that endangers themselves, the group or the environment.
- Alcohol, drugs and other intoxicants are strictly prohibited on all our treks, including during travel.
- Carry the gear listed on your trek page. Trekking shoes with good grip, sufficient drinking water and a valid photo ID are mandatory.
- Participants below 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, unless we have confirmed otherwise in writing for that trek.
6. Heritage, forest and environment rules
Many of our destinations are protected monuments and reserved forest land. Do not damage, deface or remove anything from a fort or trail, do not light fires, and carry all your waste back with you. Any fine or penalty imposed by the authorities for a participant’s actions is payable by that participant.
7. Risk and liability
- You participate at your own risk. With Sakhi takes reasonable care in planning and leading treks, but we are not liable for accident, injury, illness, death, loss or damage to personal belongings, or any delay or loss arising from events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, landslides, road closures, strikes, vehicle breakdowns, government orders or acts of nature.
- Travel and medical insurance are not included in our fees. We strongly recommend that you arrange your own cover.
- Where we arrange transport, stay or meals, we act as a coordinator between you and the local operator. Their own terms and liability apply to the service they provide.
- In every case, our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us for that trek.
8. Photography and media
We photograph and film our treks and may use that material on our website, social media and promotional content. If you do not want your image used, tell the trek leader in writing before the trek begins and we will honour that request.
9. Website content
All text, photographs, itineraries, logos and design on withsakhi.com belong to With Sakhi or are used with permission, and may not be reproduced without our written consent. We take care to keep prices, dates and trek details accurate, but obvious errors may be corrected, and we may revise any detail before a booking is confirmed.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your booking is the one that applies to it.
