Two rock pinnacles joined by a saddle, ringed with Jain rock-cut sculptures and caves, and reached by a stone stairway of several thousand steps. Mangi-Tungi is a pilgrimage as much as a climb.
About the fort
Mangi-Tungi is one of the most important Jain sites in Maharashtra, associated with the liberation of several saints. The rock faces around both pinnacles carry carved figures and cave shrines, and a 108-foot statue of Rishabhanatha stands at the base.
