Two enormous parallel rock walls standing on a ridge above Tailbaila village. There is no fort to speak of — the walls are the reason people come, and the saddle between them is one of the best viewpoints in Maval.

About the fort

The Tail-Baila walls are a pair of sheer basalt slabs that rise straight out of the ridge, long used as a technical climbing site. Trekkers walk to the saddle at their base; the walls themselves are climbed only with gear and a qualified team.

What the trek is like

A pleasant walk from the village to the base of the walls, with a short steep section at the end. We stop at the saddle — the wall climbs are a separate, technical outing and are not part of this trek.
